Recently seventh grade gifted and talented students from Carlisle County, Fulton City, and Fulton County, and Hickman County were introduced to each other and to various energy sources at an Energy Expo held at the First Assembly of God Church in Clinton. The Energy Expo was sponsored by the Four Rivers Gifted Consortium and the Kentucky NEED Project. The goal of the program was to allow students to explore the different sources of energy, how they are stored and delivered for public consumption and what we can do to promote alternate sources of energy. Science teachers from each of the schools represented also attended to review the materials that are available to them through the NEED project and to interact with the students through hands on activities.
