Phase 4 Construction
The Carlisle County Board of Education approved and is in the middle of Phase 4 of the middle and high school renovation projects. As school begins, parents and students will see a new image as they enter campus. Paving work should nearing completion as school begins. New sidewalks and new lights have been added to complement the paving of the parking lots.
The older roof of the high school has been replaced with a metal roof. The shingle roof was installed about 1988. The life skills house will also be sporting a new metal roof.
The grinder is being installed to improve sewer flow for the Sanitation District. It is essentially a giant garbage disposal that grinds waste as it leaves the school's pipe and enters the Sanitation District pipes.
