Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday March 17, we will have our first day of Non-Traditional Instruction(NTI). We will be delivering packets of work to the homes via bus routes so that students can continue the learning process. Our goal is to be on the road by 10:00 in the morning to begin these deliveries to all students that currently ride a bus. If you do not ride a bus and would like to be added to the drop off list for packets, please contact your school today so that we can get your work on the appropriate bus. We will leave the packets at your home in a convenient location if no one is available to receive it. You will also be able to pick up your work at your school office if you prefer from 12-5 tomorrow. It is very important that the packets are completed as this is how our school day gets counted. If the packets are all completed the state will count our days as instructional days. If they are not then we would have to make up those days at the end of the year.
We will also be serving breakfast and lunch via bus routes each day this week. Tomorrow we will do this in combination with the work packets. Again, if you do not ride a bus and would like to have a breakfast/lunch delivered please contact your school today so that we can add you to the list. Unlike the work packets, we can not leave food if no one is there to receive it. The cafeteria will also be open from 11-12:30 each day for you to pick up your meals if you prefer to stop by or if you weren't home when we came by. You will only be able to pick up and go. There is no eating on site allowed at this time. If you are signed up for a snack bag through the STARS Center you will get this tomorrow during this same stop. You may contact the STARS Center if you would like to be added to the snack bag list for next week.

We will be sending out further information toward the end of the week containing instructions for returning completed packets, deliveries of future packets/meals/snack bags etc.... Our staff will be on hand at the school this week to field any questions that you may have about the work you receive or the schedules that we have communicated. We are receiving quite a few calls about changing the delivery address(grandparent's or babysitter's house) for the packets to be dropped off. I understand the request, but we just can't possibly honor those requests due to the volume of things and places that we are trying to handle.The packet will be left at your child's normal dropoff address. Also, if you live in an area that we can't get a bus, you will need to watch for us to be in your area and meet at the location we are normally picking you up at or you may come to the school to obtain your packet after 12. We will do our best to make sure everyone gets their materials. We will be available all week for calls, emails or pick ups. Thanks for understanding and your cooperation.
