Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar Information

HOBY Leadership Seminar programs are designed to provide sophomores selected by their schools an opportunity to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences.  Any sophomore with strong leadership abilities may apply.

The seminar will be held on the campus of a college/university in Kentucky for four days sometime during late May or June.  Interested students will submit a resume and essay about why they would like to attend to Mrs. Halteman by November 23rd.  At this time, we are unsure how many sophomores from our school will be allowed to attend.  Most years, we are able to send more than one.  The school pays the registration fee for the top ranking student who qualifies for the program.  Any other students would be responsible for the registration fee, which is typically around $300. Students must provide their own transportation to and from the conference.  Talk to the following HOBY Alumni to find out more:  Karlie Gibson, Rorey Eddleman, and Dylan Jewell.
