Meet Mrs. Jessie
Hello!!! My name is Mrs. Jessie and this is my first year as a classroom teacher. I am so very excited to begin my first year with such an amazing group of students. I just wanted to tell you all a little about myself and my life within and outside Carlisle County Elementary.
I have been married for 11 years to my husband Jason, and we have four beautiful children. I grew up in Metropolis, IL and Lone Oak in Paducah, KY. This school year we will have one student in each four schools of our district. Mya is 14, Kollin is 10, Gabe is 6, and Emmalee is 4.
I graduated from Murray State University in December 2012 with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While I graduated in 2012, I did not begin my career in education until 2018. I was blessed to stay home with all four of our children until they reached school age. I was also able to substitute teach some throughout the years.
I began working as a preschool aide during the school year of 2018-2019. The following school year of 2019-2020 I was blessed with the position as the AmeriCorps Aide. In this position I was able to work with all different students within the elementary school. During this school year I was also blessed to work most of my day with the first-grade classes. These classes were made up of all these wonderful second graders coming in this school year. I couldn’t have hand picked a better class to begin my teaching career.
While this school year will look different than any before, we plan to do our best to maintain consistency and allow learning to flourish. I am so excited to get to know parents and to deepen my relationship with all our wonderful students.
